Privacy Policy

Simdex ("we," "us," "our") operates the Simdex web application at simdexapp.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We keep this straightforward because you deserve clarity, not a wall of legalese.

Data We Collect
Account information. When you create a Simdex account we collect your email address and display name. Authentication is handled through Supabase.
Wallet data. If you connect a Phantom wallet, we receive your public wallet address. We never request or store your private keys, seed phrases, or signing authority.
Portfolio data. When portfolio tracking is active, we read on-chain token balances and transaction history associated with your connected wallet address to display positions and PnL.
Chat messages. Messages you send in token rooms are stored so the conversation history is available to other participants in that room.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and payment event metadata. We do not store full card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details -- Stripe handles that directly.
Usage data. We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, timestamps, pages visited) to maintain service health and diagnose issues.
Cookies and local storage. We use session cookies for authentication and local storage for UI preferences (theme, layout state). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How We Use Your Data
We use the data described above to:
Operate the product. Authenticate your session, display your runner board, render portfolio context, process payments, and deliver chat functionality.
Improve the service. Analyze aggregate usage patterns to prioritize features, fix bugs, and maintain uptime.
Communicate with you. Send transactional emails (account verification, payment receipts, critical service alerts). We do not send unsolicited marketing email without your opt-in consent.
Enforce our terms. Detect abuse, enforce content policies in token rooms, and protect the integrity of the platform.

Third-Party Services
We share data only with services required to operate Simdex. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your information:
Supabase -- Authentication and database hosting.
Stripe -- Payment processing and subscription management.
Render -- Application hosting and infrastructure.
DEX Screener / on-chain data providers -- Market data ingestion. These services receive read-only blockchain queries, not your personal account data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or any unrelated third party.

Cookies and Tracking
Simdex uses first-party cookies only for session authentication. We use browser local storage to persist UI preferences like theme selection and layout state.
We do not embed third-party advertising pixels, social media tracking scripts, or cross-site analytics tools. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before any tracking goes live.

Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.
Chat messages are retained for the lifetime of the token room. Messages in archived rooms may be deleted after 90 days.
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically purged.
Payment records are retained as required by tax and financial reporting obligations (typically 7 years).

Data Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and regular dependency audits. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the same seriousness we treat our own.

Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Delete your account and associated personal data.
Export your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent for any optional processing at any time.
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Children's Privacy
Simdex is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

International Users
Simdex is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Simdex, you consent to this transfer. We apply the same protections to all user data regardless of origin.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of Simdex after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
